Patron of the plague, epilepsy, arms dealers, butchers, guards and soldiers.

Saint Adrian was a Herculian Guard of the Roman Emperor Galerius Maximian.

After converting to Christianity with his wife Natalia, Adrian was martyred at Nicomedia.
